SUBJECT: APPLICATION OF THE BREXIT REGULATION IN RELATION TO THE EXEMPTION OF THE PAYMENT OF TARIFFS
As established in the trade and collaboration agreements between the European Union and the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland in the past Brexit negotiations, there are preferential agreements in relation to the payment of tariffs. In order to apply this special treatment, and in accordance with the treaty, it is essential to indicate in documents (preferably on the seller’s commercial invoice) MERCHANDISE ORIGIN UNITED KINGDOM.
If said origin is not indicated, the merchandise will be considered to be of EU origin and the corresponding tariffs must be paid.
