As you know, the EEC regulations for single-use plastics have entered into force.
To comply with the new regulations, your supplier must indicate if there is plastic packaging and the weight of it used in the shipment of your merchandise.
The correct thing is that your supplier indicates it in the packing list, if they do not indicate it, it is when we ask them to fill out and sign the responsible declaration letter for single-use plastics, because without that information they will not allow us to clear Customs.
If non-recycled plastic is used, it is declared in DUA (Customs Declaration) and the Tax Agency applies the tax of 0.48 Euro per kilo.
If the packaging is made with recycled plastic, at source they must send them a certificate/declaration that they have used recycled plastic and do not pay this tax.
